Ukiah, California is a the county seat of Mendocino County and has a population of more than 15,000 people. The city is well-known as the home for many nationally acclaimed wine labels (such as Fetzer, Parducci, Bonterra, and Frey) and is a major grower of produce--especially pears and grapes.
Ukiah is the location of the world-famous Vichy Springs, whose waters are naturally carbonated and are often compared to bathing in champagne; the springs are also notable as the "favorite hot spot" of acclaimed writer Jack London, and have been visited by many notable people through the last few centuries.
